Veterans Week (5-11 November 2022) Learning Resources

Remembrance Day is approaching fast. Veterans Affairs Canada has designated 5-11 November 2021 as Veterans Week

To help educators, Veterans Affairs Canada has prepared bilingual teaching aids geared to various ages of students. Articles and Lesson Plans are available at https://www.veterans.gc.ca/eng/remembrance/get-involved/veterans-week/learning-resources

Poppy Fund Donation to Parkwood Veterans Care Program

13 April,2022

The Byron-Springbank Legion made a $24,000.00 donation from our Poppy Fund to the Parkwood Hospital Veterans Care Program. The donation will go to the purchase of six “Sit to Stand” recliner chairs for our Veterans.

The Minister of National Defense, Hon. Anita Anand stopped in at the Byron-Springbank Legion. Thank you to London West MP Arielle Kayabaga for arranging the Meet and Greet with the Minister. Gave the M of ND a chance to talk to our Veterans and members.
