The Byron-Springbank Legion cannot operate without a strong core of volunteers. Every event or initiative requires volunteers. From the Annual Poppy Campaign each November that collects donations to help our veterans, to cleaning up parking lot, depends on volunteers. There are many ways to help, simply by giving up 2-3 hours of your time
- Poppy Captains – 30 October – 12 November – Delivers Poppy boxes to area businesses
- Manning the Costco Poppy Table – 1-10 November – 2 hour shifts 10 AM – 8 PM
- Counting / Wrapping Poppy Donations – 2-15 November – afternoons
- Visiting sick Legion Members in Parkwood, Long Term Care Homes, or their home
- Monthly Community Breakfasts – Last Sunday of each month (except for July, August & December
- Events – Dances, Bingo, Trivia, Annual Outdoor Event, Meat Draws, etc
- General Building Maintenance
- Spring / Fall cleanup
