Good morning comrades,

Please see the weekly events schedule and posters below for upcoming events. We hope you can make it out to some of them.

We are happy to announce New Year’s Eve tickets are sold out.  If you would like your name added to the waitlist, please call the branch.

The executive meeting is Wednesday at 6:30 and Turkey-Rama will be held on Saturday from 2-6. You will want to come early to get a good seat.  We will be raffling off 16 turkeys.  This year you will receive a certificate for a fresh turkey to be picked up after Dec 20 at Unger’s market. If you are not able to pick it up yourself someone will pick it up for you and take it to the branch.  

Sunday is our very first Music Makers Big Band Christmas concert from 1-4 pm held in the banquet hall.  Just $15 per person and includes a charcuterie board.  There are still a few tickets available so get them now before they are gone.

Yesterday we kicked off sales for Catch the Ace.  You can now purchase your tickets at the bar or online at byronlegioncatchtheace.ca.  The first draw will be held January 4 at 4 pm. and weekly thereafter until the Ace of Spades is found.  

Our 2nd annual Food Drive is underway.  Please bring in your non-perishable donations from now until December 21.  Items donated will be taken to the Byron United Church’s Food Bank on a weekly basis.  Thank you for giving.

Don’t forget our Chair Pilates on Monday from 3-4 and Chair Yoga on Wednesday same time.  With the extra goodies we eat at this time of year it is always good to get out and do some light exercise.
