Good morning comrades,
Please see the weekly events schedule and posters below for upcoming events. We hope you can make it out to some of them.
We are back to our normal schedule for all of our events this week. Don’t forget about Chair Pilates today and Chair Yoga on Wednesday. Our January Wood carving course starts tonight and runs for 4 weeks. Preregistered participants only. If you are interested in future courses, please contact Dorathy at rcl533byron@gmail.com.
The Ladies Auxiliary meeting is on Wednesday and along with our Saturday Meat draw we will be offering Horse Racing for your added pleasure. Thanks Roger and Lyla.
I have attached the updated January calendar. Please note the General meeting has been moved to January 21 to allow a booking in the banquet hall and the entertainment on Jan 17 has now been confirmed. Naid and the Living Notes Duo will be performing from 3-6 pm.
The first ticket for Catch the Ace was drawn yesterday, and the lucky winner will receive a whopping $640. Congratulations. We had a great turnout so thank you to all who came. Please note the cutoffs for the weekly draws are 12 am midnight for on-line sales and 3 PM the day of the draw for in-person sales. Thanks to Curt, Judy and Cecile for bringing this to our legion. And thanks to Doug Grant for announcing the Pot of Gold. I think everyone had a great time.
On behalf of the Executive and the Ways and Means Committee we hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable week.s.
Thanks to the work of over 80 Volunteers and the assistance of over 500 businesses in London west, the Byron-Springbank Legion’s 2024 Poppy Campaign was very successful. As always the generosity of Londoners is overwhelming and allowed us to collect $50, 221.00 in donations to assist our Veterans..
